Areas of Experience
I am a Clinical Social Worker with over fourteen years of experience working with adults across humanitarian, refugee and specialist mental health settings in Australia and internationally. Guided by a deep commitment to social justice and human rights, I have a particular passion for trauma-informed care and for working with individuals carrying the lasting impact of complex trauma.
I am experienced in helping people navigate:
Complex and post-traumatic stress: Supporting adults living with PTSD, complex trauma and the lasting impact of crisis, violence, displacement or chronic exposure to adversity.
Moral injury, burnout and vicarious trauma: Offering care for humanitarian workers, frontline professionals and others whose wellbeing has been shaped by sustained high-exposure roles.
Depression: Working collaboratively to reduce symptoms of low mood, withdrawal and hopelessness while building motivation and resilience.
Emotion dysregulation: Supporting clients to develop greater capacity to understand, tolerate and respond to intense emotional experiences.
Sleep disturbance: Addressing the ways that trauma and chronic stress disrupt rest and nervous system regulation.
Relationship challenges: Exploring the impact of trauma on connection, communication and interpersonal trust.
Racism and discrimination: Holding space for the psychological and emotional toll of lived experiences of racism, marginalisation and cultural displacement.
Refugee and asylum-seeker experiences: Offering culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support for individuals navigating resettlement, displacement and the challenges of building safety in a new context.
I have a particular interest in working with humanitarian and frontline professionals (including aid workers, health practitioners and others in high-responsibility roles) who are carrying the cumulative weight of crisis exposure, moral complexity and organisational constraint.
I am a relational and grounded clinician. Clients describe me as warm, direct, thoughtful and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. I aim to bring both clinical rigour and human warmth to every session, and I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change.
Depending on each client's needs and goals, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches including:
Trauma-informed practice: Centring safety, regulation and a collaborative therapeutic relationship throughout our work together.
Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET): Processing traumatic memories within a coherent life narrative, particularly for clients with histories of multiple or prolonged trauma.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT): Identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns to improve emotional wellbeing and daily functioning.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) principles: Building skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness.
Mindfulness: Supporting present-moment awareness, self-compassion and regulation.
Strengths-Based Practice: Drawing on personal strengths, values and existing resilience to support growth and recovery.
Qualifications & Professional Membership:
Master of Social Work (Clinical), Boston College concentrations in Clinical Practice, Global Practice and Human Rights

How I work
How can I help?Counselling offers a space to pause, reflect and make sense of what you are going through. I provide thoughtful, trauma-informed support for those seeking clarity, stability, and meaningful change.
Online SessionsI offer private, one-on-one online psychotherapy sessions for adults. Each session lasts around 50 minutes and is conducted via a secure video platform.
FeesMy fee is $130AUD, however I offer a sliding scale, to make therapy more accessible depending on your financial situation.
You may be navigating work stress, family pressures, loss, past trauma, relationship challenges, depression, anxiety or a general sense of feeling stuck. Counselling offers a supportive space to slow down and reflect on what you are experiencing. Together we work to understand the patterns, experiences and pressures that may be shaping your current situation, with the aim of building insight, strengthening emotional stability and supporting meaningful change.
