2Hello, I’m Krista Senden.
I am a Clinical Social Worker with over fourteen years’ experience providing counselling and mental health support.
Guided by a strong commitment to social justice and human dignity, I have worked extensively with individuals and communities affected by trauma, displacement and significant life adversity. Earlier in my career I spent five years working in humanitarian contexts, providing psychosocial and mental health support in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya and in Bangkok, Thailand. These experiences deepened my understanding of how trauma, loss and prolonged stress can shape people’s lives.
I have worked for many years within specialist trauma and grief services in Australia, providing direct support to clients as well as clinical and reflective supervision to staff navigating complexity and trauma. Through this work, I have developed strong expertise in working with complex trauma, grief, depression, emotional distress, and the impact of prolonged stress alongside a deep understanding of the challenges faced by practitioners working in high-demand therapeutic environments.
I offer counselling for adults seeking support with trauma, mental health concerns and difficult life circumstances. My approach is thoughtful, compassionate and grounded in evidence-based practice, offering a space where people can reflect, regain clarity and move toward meaningful change.
